How it began...

It was by complete accident that the Yoni Pom Pom was made: a group of friends from my choir group decided to have a girls night making pom poms fuelled by wine and food. I chose three colours I liked and much to our amusement made a pom pom that looked remarkably like a vulva. Even more laughter was had when Clare decided it needed a trim!

A month or so later, and sick of hearing news reports on the level of violence towards women and girls in the UK, I thought... what if this fun and cute pom pom could make a difference? So this social enterprise was born with proceeds going to the UK charity Refuge

Did you know...?

The word Yoni is the old Sanskrit name for a ladies internal and external reproductive parts? Surely "Yoni" is far better name than the alternatives we use today, which are either medical or icky sounding?

In ancient times the Yoni was worshiped as people believed it held protective and healing qualities, able to avert evil and give power.

Making it the perfect symbol to create a better future for us all.
